What really made this place stand out was the cinnamon syrup. Holy christ is was liquid heaven.
As most of you know, I am a big music nerd. So to be in Nashville was amazing. Driving around Music Row and seeing all the major corporations who rape you of hard earned money, yea, that was awesome. One thing I knew I had to do while in Nashville, was go to Third Man Records. In case you don't know what that is, it is Jack White's record label. In case you don't know who he is, he is in such bands as The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, and The Dead Weather. In case you don't know what those are, well, I don't know what to tell you.
Everything there was so awesome. I had to REALLY refrain from pretty much buying everything. And it didn't help that there were bangin hot chicks working behind the counter. Unfortunately no Jack White, but we did get to see the Monkey Band. And these guys.
And that ended our time in Nashville. Couldn't thank Prentice and Jordan enough for showing us around their town. Definitely one of our favorite places on the trip. After we left there, we had about an 8 hour drive to Waynesboro, VA. We were going to go to a brewery just outside there called Blue Mountain Brewing to get some good brews and watch the Chargers play the Raiders. But we realized very quickly we were not gonna get to that area before they closed so we decided to stop in Knoxville, TN at another brewery called Downtown Brewing. REALLY good food and a REALLY good stout called State Street Stout. Mmmmm. Stouuuuuut....
The drive that proceeded this delicious meal and beer was the second hardest drive we had to do. Chargers vs. Raiders. Ugh. My genius lady friend, Mallory, found a stream on her iPhone of the game. One issue. It was the Oakland stream. They weren't biased at all, but the issue was that this team, and in particular the color commentator, was worse than Hank Bauer. And if you know my hatred for Hank Bauer, then you know that is pretty fucking terrible. Could not form a sentence, mixed up players name at least 70 times, was agreeing with refs on terrible calls, and worst of all? His name was Leonard. But did he pronounce it Leonard. Of course not. He pronounced it Leo Nard. On top of all that, I HATE listening to football games on the radio. Frustrating to say the least. It definitely was a good game though. Well good second half. We arrived at our hotel and slept in separate beds. That is all.
